"Betty (Hoyer) Boggan, 62, of Rocklin came to rest March 5, 2010 after navigating the challenges of leukemia with the same grace and courage with which she lived her life. Her sense of humor and creative spirit brought joy and laughter to the lives of everyone she knew. Betty's kindness and generosity were an inspiration. While supporting her husband's military career, Betty created a loving home in each new city. She effortlessly gained new friends and nurtured cherished relationships with family and friends living far away. Betty is survived by her husband Col. Jim Boggan, daughter Jillian Golder (Lloyd) of Tucson, Ariz., son Thomas Boggan (Sarah) of Phoenix, Ariz., beloved Golden Retriever K.C., sister Joan Roccucci (Ron) of Roseville, brother Robert Hoyer (Liz) of Granite Bay and many other family members who will miss her greatly. Her family is comforted knowing she is now in the care of loved ones who have passed before her. Memorial services planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 with a viewing immediately prior. Arrangements entrusted to Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd. Roseville. In honoring her generous spirit, "Miss Betty" would have preferred donations be sent to the Placer SPCA (150 Corporation Yard Road, Roseville, 95678) in lieu of flowers. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed."
