Edna M. Bearden, 90, passed away at home on May 5, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born in New Jersey on March 16, 1920. She came to Texas in 1937 with her new husband, Donald Bearden. They were married for sixty-two and one half years and raised four children in Corpus Christi. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and eleven siblings. She is survived by two sons, Don Bearden (Linda) and Herb Bearden both of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Ann McIlwain (Gaylon) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Susie Quigly of Temple, Texas. She leaves behind fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. she was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Kings Crossing Church of Christ, 5901 Yorktown Blvd. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Don Bearden, Herbert J. Bearden, Kenny Bearden, Ricky Bearden, Rusty McIlwain, and Dusty McIlwain. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandsons.
