Louisa emigrated to the US with her father, Thomas, in about 1880 and settled temporarily in western PA near Pittsburgh, and shortly thereafter moved to the New Rock area, near Bourbon, MO to farm. Haman Baldwin and family moved to the same area in 1881. Louisa cared for her father until he died in 1887 and later became a nurse."
