Ms. Ellen Irene Miller, 79, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Barbourville, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Lindner Park. She was a daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Hampton Miller born on May 16, 1933 in Knox County.

Ms. Miller was a former shipping clerk with Bell and Howell and believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed being outdoors and watching animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin P., Joe B. and Claude R. Miller; an infant sister, Patsy Miller and a nephew, Eddie Miller.

Survivors include a sister, Anna Miller of Barbourville; a sister-in-law, Bernice Miller of Barbourville; two nieces, Claudia Sue Powell of Richmond and Mary Miller of Barbourville; her best friend and guardian, Nancy Poff of Cincinnati, OH; a host of great nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, September 4 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Rick Partin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Tanyard Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.
