Pearl W. Ablutz, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 30, 2012 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Herb, Jr. Kensey of Pinehurst, Idaho. She was born Dec. 20,1919 in Garfield, Wash.; Pearl was the daughter of John and Emma Nelson.
Pearl attended schools in Garfield, Wash., and Kellogg, Idaho. She married John Houston Ablutz on Dec. 22, 1937 in Garfield, Wash.; John passed away on May 18, 1989.
Pearl, John and family moved to Pinehurst in 1956 from Grandview, Wash.
Pearl was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her joy in life was taking care of her family; her family meant everything to her.
Pearl was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Pinehurst. She loved and enjoyed word puzzles and playing cards, especially pinochle.
Pearl is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Herb Jr.) Kinsey of Pinehurst, and Judy (Jim E.) Southwell of Olympia, Wash.; five grandchildren, Pam (Leif) Sundstrom of Pinehurst, Kim Thompson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Scott (Lisa) Kinsey of Post Falls, Idaho, Shella (Steve) Brearley of Post Falls and Jim A. (Jen) Southwell of Seattle, Wash.; eight g-grandchildren and one g-g-grandson; two sisters, Ruby Perkins and Rose Anderson, both of Garfield, Wash., one brother, Richard (Joanne)Nelson of Garfield, Wash.; she is also suravived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Houston Ablutz , one brother Glen Nelson and one sister Myrtle Lauer.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept.6, 2012, at Our Savior Lutheran church of Pinehurst, with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating; a reception/dinner will be held at the church following services; everyone is welcome. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at the Garfield Cemetery of Garfield, Wash.
