Francis and Mattie had a large family, Children: Mary Eliz, Francis Marion III, George William, Myrtle Annis, Waymon, Nova Alta Louise, David Norman, Howard Kenneth, James Wilson and Billie Ray Laird.

F. M. Laird, age 53, died Thursday in the Hamilton Hospital following a two weeks illness of pneumonia.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10:00 from the McCracken funeral Home. Burial was in the new cemetery.
His wife and eleven children survive. A son succumbed several weeks ago to pneumonia also.
