Agnes L. Daniel, 98, of Dexter, died Thurs. April 10, 2003 at the Grouse Valley Manor in Dexter.

She was born April 17, 1904 in Otto, the daughter of Marion and Ethel (Smith) Martin. She received her education in Otto and as a young girl she helped her family on the farm.

She was united in marriage to Ralph L. Daniel on Jan. 8, 1931 at the Cowley County Courthouse in Winfield. The couple lived and worked on their farm until moving to Dexter in 1963. They then moved to the Grouse Valley Manor in 1990. Her husband preceded her in death in March 22, 1993.

She was a member of the Dexter Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Senior Citizens Center. Her hobbies included her family and quilting.

She is survived by sons Dr. Gilbert Daniel of Eureka and Delbert Daniel of Dexter; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband;brothers Raymond and George Martin; and sisters Cleo Bradley and Beatrice Stark.

Funeral services were held Sat. Apr 12 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment followed at the Dexter Cemetery.
