He is survived by one son and two daughters, several grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by his parents and seven older siblings.

He graduated from East High School, Wichita, Class of 1943, and KSU (Kansas State University), Class of 1950, with a degree in Engineering.

He joined the U.S. Army and spent time on Papau, New Guinea in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. His Korean War service included time in Germany during 1950 - 1952 at the rank of First Lieutenant.

In 1949, he married Bette Bender, who died in 2010 and is buried in the same mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, two daughters, several grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
