H. H. Koeneke and Mrs. William Kraus have the sympathy of friends in the death of their sister, Mrs. Fred Friedley which occurred Friday night, May 8, 1925 at the family home at Wood. Mrs. Friedley was ill but a short time with the "Flu", which complicated with chronic ailments, caused her death. Her maiden name was Miss Anna Koeneke, born near Colesburg in February, 1867. She was united in marriage with Fred Friedley and the family resided on a farm at Wood. The husband, one daughter and four sons survive. The children are Mrs. Clara Scott; Albert Oscar; Ernest and Arthur Friedley, all of the Wood community. A second sister, Mrs. Henry Wessel, of Fenton, Iowa was unable to be present at the funeral services on account of ill health. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. E. Meyer of the Methodist church at Wood, Monday afternoon. Interment was made in the Wood Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family in the loss of their loved one.
