~Bertie Louise "Louise" Barlow~
Louise Barlow, 81, of Ridge Street Rutherford College, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Miss Barlow was born on Aug. 2, 1924, in Cabarrus County to the late Alvin Horton Barlow and Ollie Vance Barlow.
She was formerly employed by Hickory Dyeing and Winding as an accountant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William Howard Barlow.
Survivors include her nieces, Rebecca Barlowe and Doug Walters of Oak Island, Susan Barlowe and Thomas Duncan of Rutherford College; a sister-in-law, Frances Barlowe of Rutherford College; also surviving are her cousins, special friends and wonderful neighbors.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Burke Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Gober.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
At other times the family will be at the home of Frances Barlowe, Talmon Street, Rutherford College.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's own choice.
