RUSSELL E. FOWLER was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 26, 1922 and passed away on December 25, 2008 in Houston, Texas at the age 86. He brought the joy of music to many with his profession of teaching guitar in Houston for over 40 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean Fowler; three sons, Russell Fowler, Jr. and wife Jackie, Jim Fowler and wife Pam, Steve Fowler and wife Diane; 2 grandchildren, Steven Jr. & Traci Nicole along with other relatives and friends. Services at Brookside Funeral Home, 13401 Eastex Fwy December 28 at 2:00 pm.
