From the Central City Courier, Thursday, March 18, 1880, page 3:

Died - ADAMS, On the 9th day of March 1880 at Rawlins, Wyo., of scarlet fever, Daisy, aged 3 years, deaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Adams.

JOHNSON - On the 10th day of March, 1880, at Rawlins, Wayo., of scarlet fever, Fanny, aged 3 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Johnson.

The remains of Daisy Adams and Fanny Johnson, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Johnson, both families of Rawlins, but formerly of this place, were brought down to Central City on the passenger train last Friday morning, and services were conducted in the Presbyterian church by Rev. Hamilton, of Rawlins.

In spite of the inclemency of the weather quite a large congregation asembled, testifying to the sympanthy extended to the bereaved families in their affliction.

Little Daisy Adams is one of triplets, two of whom have died at preious intervals.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, it will be remembered, buried two children previous to their leaving Central City for Rawlins.

No words are adequate to express or to assuage the grief of those whose home have been rendered desolate. Their many friends in Central City an only offer their silent, yet heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved in this their hour of affliction.
