William is the Eldest child and only son of Clyde "CH" & Margaret " Bird" Hill (McMillen) Garwood.
He married Sara Jean Brindle in 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Sara is the mother of their 4 children.
Many years after her passing William married Mildred Elwell, the widow of Richard Edwin White.

He served in the US Navy from 5/19/1944 to 2/19/1946.
