DeFEDE, Frank Joseph, 92, of Wellsburg, W.Va., died September 30, 2007, in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born December 25, 1914, in Italy, the son of the late Alphonse DeFede and Virginia Pache DeFede.

He was Catholic by faith; a retired owner of Keystone Shoe in Wellsburg for over 50 years; and a Army Veteran of World War II. He was Brooke County Citizen of the year; Grand Marshall of the 4th of July parade; active member of the Knights of Columbus; and Wellsburg Kiwanis Club with numerous Awards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Anoton J. DeFede and Samuel DeFede; and two sisters, Sarah Dante, Mary Anitori.

Survived by his three sons, Bernard DeFede and his wife, Linda, of Follansbee, W.Va., Frank A. DeFede and and his wife, Donna, of Jewett, Ohio and David DeFede of Venice, Fla.; one sister. Rose DeFede of Wellsburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles Street, Wellsburg, where a Christian Wake service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Beech Bottom, W.Va,, with Father Vincent Joseph officiating.

Interment in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, W.Va.

Full military graveside rights by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
