COLUMBUS - Norman E. Adamson, 70, of rural Columbus, died at his home Friday morning, Oct. 1, 2004, after a short illness.

He was born May 1, 1934, at Columbus, to Ernest Adamson and Lavon Slover Adamson.

He attended Columbus schools.

He married Bruna Faye Judy on June 23, 1956, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

He was a parts manager for Ford Motor Company for 29 years. He then worked for Mattox Body Shop until his retirement.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Norma Burnett of Miami, and Marla Glasgow of Columbus; three grandchildren; two step-grandsons; one brother, Ray Adamson of Kansas City, Mo.; and three sisters Aileen Mack and Margie Higginbotham of Columbus and Marcia Mathes of Grove, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters who died in infancy.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home of Columbus.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. at Edgmand Cemetery of Columbus on Tuesday with Rev. Don Flanner officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Simpson Funeral Home, Columbus, Kansas.
