Sybil Cordle was born on January 13, 1937 in Stigler, Oklahoma to James Clarence Thompson and Martha Frances (Long) Thompson. She passed from this life on August 17, 2012 in Bixby, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 7 months & 4 days.
Sybil graduated from Stigler High School in 1955 and moved to Tulsa in the late 1950's. She had been a resident of Bixby since 1968. She worked at many different jobs over the years but is best remembered for her pleasant smile while working as a Postal Clerk in Bixby for over 16 years before her retirement in 1999. She was a longtime member of the Shellenbarger Free Will Baptist Church. When she was not working, she loved shopping, going to garage sales, sewing, enjoying Elvis movies and music, spending time with her family and watching western movies.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Willard Ray Cordle on July 11, 2002.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law; one sister and husband; four grandchildren and spouses; two great-grandchildren; as well as several other relatives and good friends.
