Roy Lendo Beck, 91, went home to be with the Lord, July 3, 2001, at High Point Regional Hospital. He was a member of Trindale Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corp.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Leona Beck, of the home; a daughter, Glenda B. Griffin of Georgia, a brother, Jimmy Beck of Thomasville; 3 sisters, Martha Cruthis of Sophia, Rosa Cox of Trinity and Doris Saintsing of Thomasville; a grandson, Scott Griffin of Georgia; a grand-daughter Amy Beardslee of Georgia; 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a large number of friends.
Funeral will be 3 pm Thursday at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale by the Rev. David Williams. Burial with military rites will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
