Kevin Lee Summers, 46, of Winfield Community, Fairmont, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Fairmont on January 24, 1966, the beloved, oldest son of Thomas "Jim" and Patricia Summers of Baxter.
Kevin proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He was employed with the City of Fairmont Water Department, working as a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. He was a graduate of Rivesville High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and woodworking with his brothers and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 4 years, Rosemarie (Hawkins) Summers of Fairmont, two daughters, Ashley Amanda Summers of Fairmont and Sarah Jane Summers of Fairmont and a step-daughter, Jenna Johnson of Fairmont.
Also surviving are two brothers, James "Jay" Summers of Morgantown and Michael "Mike" Summers and his wife Natalie of Fairmont, one sister, Misti Wilt and her husband Brian of Baxter, his grandfather, Thomas Summers and his wife Lois of Fairmont, nieces, Malia and Valerie Summers, Katlyn and Megan Wilt and Julianna, Miley and Marissa Summers, a nephew, Matthew Summers, a great-nephew, River Neville and a great-niece, Brixtin Snider, two very close and dear aunts, Kimberly Stebbins of Fairmont and Dot Sausen of Morgantown as well as several other special aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Summers and Fred and Edna Colisino.
Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Wednesday from 1-8 pm and Thursday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11 am with Pastor Amanda Reed officiating.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his body will be cremated following the funeral service.
