SAN ANGELO - Vickie Lynn Anderson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Vickie Lynn was born on Nov. 15, 1954, in Santa Anna, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Juanita Dobbins. Vickie Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Anderson; her two stepdaughters, Amy Hill and husband Shane and Mandi Scherr and husband Preston; and five grandchildren, Hannah and Riley Hill and Jacob, Lauren and Will Scherr, all of San Angelo; four brothers, Billy Jack Dobbins of Seguin, Mark Dobbins and wife Debra of Montgomery, Duane Dobbins and wife Sylvia of Coleman and David Dobbins of Coleman; three sisters, Gail Downs of Granbury, Sue Cullins and husband Charlie of Coleman and Helen Lee Brown and husband Gary of Wichita Falls; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who are considered family. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Johnson's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the First Presbyterian Church, 32 N. Irving St., San Angelo, with dear friend Jim Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mike Gober, Kenny Stuard, Bruce Hill, Shane Hill, Preston Scherr and Scott Briley. Vickie Lynn was a joy and blessing to all who knew her and we will hold her close in our hearts forever.
