Marvin R. "Jim" Fultz, 78, of Richfield, formerly of McAlisterville, entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the Richfield Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Marvin was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Thompsontown, a son of the late Charles and Sadie (Dressler) Fultz.

He attended Quaker Run and Center grammar schoolhouses. On Dec. 28, 1954, he married the former Phyllis I. Pretz, who survives. His passing breaks a loving marital union of 57 years. Marvin retired from the PennDOT maintenance crew, in Juniata County, as a truck driver. He was previously employed at the Selinsgrove Center in its agriculture department and drove a truck for Food Craft All Star Dairy, Sunbury, and was engaged in farming his entire life.

He attended St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Millerstown. His memberships include Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Patriotic Order Sons of America, of Oriental.

He loved spending time with his family. Marvin enjoyed taking Sunday drives and hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his five sons, Marvin Fultz and his wife, Anna, of Richfield, John Fultz, of Liverpool, Dale Fultz, of Richfield, William "Bill" Fultz and his companion, Tina, of Millerstown, and Donald Fultz and his wife, Elke, of Millerstown; seven grandchildren, Michael Fultz, Amy Fultz and her fiance, Greg Hoffman, Crystal Nissley and her husband, Michael, Timothy Fultz, Cathrine Fultz, Daniel Fultz and Cali Libby; five great- grandchildren, Mason and Hannah Fultz, Andrew Paul Fultz and Michael and Logan Nissley; a brother, Larry Fultz, of Millerstown; a sister, Darlene Straub, of Middleburg; a sister-in-law, Alice Fultz, of Millerstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by: a grandson, Cody Fultz; a brother, Eugene "Woody" Fultz; two sisters, Minnie Goodling and Pauline Fultz, in early childhood; and a brother-in-law, Marlin Straub.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, St. Peters Road, Millerstown, with Pastor Britten Stimeling officiating.

Friends and family were invited to a viewing from 10 a.m. until the funeral service, Wednesday, at the church. Burial was made in the adjoining church cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Marvin to the St. Peter's UCC Cemetery Association c/o Mr. Gary Seaman, 370 Dresslers Ridge Rd, Millerstown, PA 17062.
