FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. WESTPHAL ON SATURDAY
Funeral services of Mrs. Louis Westphal, 1010 South Nineteenth street, who
passed away at the home yesterday morning, will be held Saturday afternoon
at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at two o'clock from the German Reformed
church, Rev. Menke officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery and
the Freier Saengerbund society of which Mrs. Westphal is a member will sing
at both the home and the grave.
Mrs. Westphal, who has been a resident here since 1872, when she came here
from Germany, as a girl of nine years, and was married to Mr. Westphal, in
1882, is survived by the husband and eight children, in addition to three
brothers and a sister. The children are Mrs. Anton Neuser and Mrs. Chester
Rupplet, Emil and Albert of this city, Mrs. Wm. Retzlaff and Mrs. Arthur
Croll, Milwaukee, Arthur of Wayside, and Mrs. Ballard Kitzerow of Sheboygan.
The deceased was well known in Wayside and her demise will be learned with
sorrow by a large number of friends in the city.
