EDWARD VOGT

Ed Vogt, 81, of Hutchinson, Kansas, died at the St. Elizabeth
hospital there Monday of injuries received in an accident Nov. 3,
1945, when he was struck by a bicycle while crossing a street.
Mr. Vogt was born in Manitowoc Sept. 1, 1864, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Anton Vogt, pioneer funiture dealers here. He has been a traveling
salesman for a Kansas novelty company for the past 40 years, his
territory covering Kansas and Oklahoma.
Manitowoc nieces and nephews who survive are Henry Vogt, Edgar Vogt,
Mrs. William Nemetz and Mrs. Edgar Hansen and several other nieces
and nephews in Illinois, Oregon and Washington. Mrs. Vogt preceded
her husband in death 10 years ago.
The body will be brought to Urbanek and Schlei funeral home Thursday
evening and services will be held there at two o'clock Friday
afternoon, the Rev. Carroll Luther Hinderlie officiating. Burial
will be in the family plot in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call
at the funeral home from Friday noon until time of services.
