CARL J. VOGT

Carl J. Vogt, 79, of 1332 (sic 1832 ?) Rankin St., Manitowoc, retired municipal
employe, died Thursday night at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. He
had been ill the past six months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Reformed
Church, the Rev. Richard P. Schmitz officiating, and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Vogt was born August 24, 1874, in the town of Newton and in 1898
married Caroline Schmidt. They lived on a farm in Newton until 1927
when they moved to Manitowoc. He was employed for five years by the
Manitowoc County Highway Department and then became Lincoln Park
attendant until 1948 when he retired. Mrs. Vogt died in 1949.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ernst Schnell of Manitowoc; a son,
Ernst Vogt of Manitowoc; three grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after noon
Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church.
