CHESTER A. THORNTON
Chester A. Thornton, 65, of Rt.2, Two River, died Sunday morning at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. George J. Knudson will officate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Thornton was born Dec. 29, 1909 at Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Anna
(Hammel) Thornton. He married Bessie Pickop October 17, 1933 at Manitowoc. He
operated the Trio Lunch of Manitowoc for many years and had most recently been
employed by Frieder's Bakery.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian)
Singer and Mrs. Wilfred (Wilma) Freund of Manitowoc, and Mrs. George (Eleanor)
Oldenburg of Florida and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until the time of
service. The casket will remain closed
