Last Sun. Wilhelm Tech, Sr., who lives at 1027 South 14th St., went to Two
Rivers to visit the street carnival. He caught the last streetcar back to
Manitowoc and got off at 13th St. However, he never reached home and remained
missing despite all efforts to find him. It was feared he might have become
confused upon leaving the streetcar, went in the wrong direction and fell into
the river.
This possibility was dismissed as unlikely because he was a long time resident
and knew the streets. However, because he remained missing, a search of the
river was begun yesterday and his body was soon found. Wilhelm Tech was 51 and a
tanner by trade. He has lived alone ever since his wife died 3 yrs. ago.
