MARION C. RUMMELE (d. 1974)

Mrs. Edward T. (Marion C.) Rummele, 81, of 930 N. Sixth St., Sheboygan, formerly
of Manitowoc, died early Saturday morning at Sheboygan Retirement Home.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. B. B. Cartwright will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rummele, nee Marion Crawford, was born Aug. 11, 1893, at Ithaca, N.Y.,
daughter of the late Dr. J.R. and Kittie Miller Crawford. She was married to
Edward T. Rummele July 18, 1916, when they came to Manitowoc to reside. Her
husband was associated with his father J.A. Rummele in the operation of Rummele’s
Jewelry Store of Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1950. She was a member
of the Clio Club of Manitowoc for many years and was also a member of Daughters
of American Revolution Society of Mayflower Descendants, Massachusetts Chapter.
A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home Tuesday for the funeral
services.

Edward Rummele of this city was married last week at Ithaca, New York, to Miss Marion Crawford, of that city. The following account of the wedding is taken from the Ithaca paper.
"The marriage of Miss Marion Miller Crawford, eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John R. Crawford of Ithaca, New York, to Edward T. Rummele, graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, Class of 1914, now employed by an engineering firm in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Rummele of Manitowoc, which was solemnized Tuesday evening here at the home of the bride's parents at 309 West Buffalo Street, was one of the most fashionable weddings of the season in this section. The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. Raymond Allen of Rochester,
New York, who was assisted by the Rev. John Richards, pastor of the First M.E. Church of Ithaca.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Miss Marion Rummele, sister of the groom was Maid of honor and Leland Crawford, the bride's brother, was best man. The bridesmaids were Miss Helen Farrington and Miss Ruth Farrington, both of Syracuse, New York, Miss Helen Stotensburg, Philadelphia and Miss Bernice King of Buffalo, New York. The flower girls were Miss Doris Crawford, sister of the bride and Miss Alice Farrington, Syracuse.
The house decorations were palms and daisies. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served to 75 guests. The bride, who is exceptionally popular in this section was graduated in the Class of 1911 from the Ithaca High School. Mr. and Mrs. Rummele left Tuesday night for a brief trip through the Central West after
which they will be at home after August 1, on Michigan Avenue, Manitowoc, Wisconsin."
