Mrs. J. A. Rummele, 81 (photo) of ___North Seventh street, first ___ ___ of
____ Eastern Star here, died this morning at the Holy Family hospital,
following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral
home. Dr. C. H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian church will officiate and
interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. There will be Eastern Star rites at
the graveside.
She was born Agnes Thompson in Sheboygan in 1869 and in 1889 was married to
J. A. Rummele, Manitowoc jeweler. They located in this city. She was a charter
member of the Eastern Star and the first matron. She was also a member of the
Clio club, Mr. Rummele died in December, 1948.
Survivors are a daughter, Miss Marin E. of this city and a son, Edward T., also
of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday noon until the hour of services.
