Earl E. Retzlaff, 64, of 713 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, March 2, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc
Mr. Retzlaff was born April 27, 1916, in the Town of Two Creeks, Wis., son of the late Emil and Margaret Zermuehlin Retzlaff. He was currently employed as a draftsman at Lakeside Machine Shop in Manitowoc. He married Berdine M. Nicholus in 1941 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Retzlaff served in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and the church's choir.
Survivors include his wife, Berdine, two daughters and sons-in-law, Earline and Richard Sickinger of Oshkosh and Jeannine and Dennis Forsberg of Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Ora and Clarence Zarn of Bellvue, Neb.; a brother and sister-in-law, Willis and Annabelle Retzlaff of Tampa, Fla.; mother-in-law, Zetta Nicholus of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Wednesday evening and Thursday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., then at the church noon until the time of services.
