CLARA RATHSACK

Mrs. Clara Rathsack, 80, who resided at the home of her son, Clarence, at
1311(?) Washington St., Manitowoc, died Friday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc,
where she had been a patient the past week after suffering a stroke.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Evangelical and Reformed
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Clara Hoyer was born April 24, 1879, at Clarks Mills, daughter of the
late Joseph and Anna Schultz Hoyer. She attended schools at Clarks Mills and was
a member of St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church and also a member of the
Womens Guild of that church. Mrs. Rathsack was married to Louis Rathsack in 1900
at Manitowoc. Before death in 1943 he was a partner in William Rathsack and Sons
Co., at Manitowoc. Three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence, William A. and Edward, of Manitowoc; a
daughter, Mrs. Robert McCoy of Cottonwood, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Ida Schmidtman
of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m. Sunday until 10:30
a.m. Monday when the casket will be removed to the church where the body will lie
in state until the hour of service.
