EXECUTOR NAMED IS DEAD
And 3 Witnesses to Will Have Also Passed Away
With the executor named and the three witnesses to the document all
dead, considerable trouble will be experienced in probating the will
of the late Mrs. Catherine Rockey, which has been filed in probate
court. Mrs. Rockey died at Kenosha and was buried here Saturday and
when the will, drawn in 1891, was filed, it was found that Gottlieb
Damler, deceased, was named as executor and that the witnesses, B.
Delaman, Ernst Rudolph and C. Schmelhfeld, are also deceased. It will
now be necessary to prove the signatures of at least two of the dead
witnesses before the will can be admitted by the court. The case is
peculiar, there having been but one similar instance in the history
of the local courts.
