Mary Elaiza "Ella" Hill went home to be with the Lord at the age of 83. Ella was one of seventeen children from La Jara, NM. Her parents were Andres and Merencia Maestas. In 1957 she married the love of her life, Don Hill, who preceded her in death. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Barbara Ann Zimitski and Mary Elizabeth Hill-Rue. Ella retired after 35 years with the Civil Service. Ella was actively involved with her church belonging to the Altar Rosary Society and the Blue Army. Ella enjoyed traveling, seeing new places, cooking, baking and doing things for others. Ella especially loved spending time with her brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren and friends. Ella also loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and wanted to serve him well. Ella is survived by her daughters, Barbara and her husband, Dewayne Zimitski, and Mary Elizabeth Hill-Rue and her husband, Frank Rue; her grandchildren, Philip and James Albin and Joseph and Jordyn Rue; her siblings, Petra Lucero and her husband, Pete, Maria Garcia, Lucinda Chavez, Dolores Lovato, Susie Segura, Andres Maestas and his wife, Carolina, Alex Masestas and his wife, TexAnn, Benny Maestas and his wife, Reina; and sister-in-law, Fannie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ella was preceded in death by her brothers, Juan, Frank, Gabriel and Richard, sister, Neme, sisters-in-law, Mellie and Socorrito, brothers-in-law, Frank Lovato, Frank Segura, Joe Chavez, Donald Garcia and Julian Baca. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, and Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 22, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Rio Rancho.
