Margie Janett Benton, of Georgetown, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Born in Big Lake Texas on July 10, 1930, Janett married Blan Bonner Benton (1922-2011) on August 28, 1948.
In 1995, after several years in Lamesa, Texas where Blan served as a Vice President at Lamesa National Bank, they moved to Georgetown to be closer to family. Janett was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. After many happy years in Georgetown, Janett recently enjoyed new friendships, playing bingo and tending to her beautiful flowers at The Oaks in Georgetown.
She is survived by her sons and their families: Bill and Jane Ann Benton, Barry and Monica Benton, of Houston, and her grandchildren, Brandon Benton and Brooke and Belle Benton. She is also survived by her sister Virginia Varnadore of Midland. Janett was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Brent Benton, and husband, Blan Benton.
The Benton's welcome family and friends from 6 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, July 10 at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas and for a celebration of life at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 11 at the Benton residence near Andice. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
