OTTUMWAN KILLED IN WRECK

A well known Ottumwa golfer and bowler was killed in a one car accident near Fairfield early Sunday.

Tony P. Armstrong 21 of Ottumwa Route 1 was dead on arrival at Jefferson County Hospital at 2:35 a.m. Sunday after the auto in which he was riding rolled over several times.

The Iowa Highway Patrol said a car driven by David Bowen 25 of Ottumwa Route 4 was westbound on U.S. Highway 34; eight miles west of Fairfield at 1:40 a.m. when Bowen pulled out to pass two other vehicles.
