Married on 6 Nov 1879 in Berrien County, MI to Amelia "Wirtz". The Niles Daily Star carried an obituary for Henry Gogley on 26 Jan 1928 and it reads: "Dies Suddenly Henry Gogley, 75, of Dutch Corners, died suddenly Wednesday morning in his home following a stroke of paralysis sustained Tuesday evening after a strenuous day of unloading gravel. He was stricken immediately after the evening meal. He was born in Snyder county, Pennsylvania, Sept 11, 1852, and had lived in this county since he was three years of age. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Amelia Gogley, and two sons, Harvey and Harry Gogley, at home; two brothers and two sisters, Louis and William Gogley, Mrs. Henry Smith and Miss Mary Gogley, all of Bertrand township. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in Portage Prairie church, Rev. H. C. Heise, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Portage Prairie cemetery. Mr Gogley was well known in Niles." The cemetery book for this cemetery inlcudes his name but burial location is not listed. Death record gives father as Gideon Gogley and mother as Susan Shetterly.
