Mildred Boughman
Services for Mildred L. Boughman, 97, 401 Canterbury Lane, Portland, are Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Domingo officiating. She died Monday at her son's Portland home.
Born on Dec. 29, 1910, in Wayne Township in Jay County to Asa and Mabel (Stults) Houser, she graduated from Bryant High School in 1931 and from Betty Jean's Beauty College in Fort Wayne.
She was married on Jan. 1, 1933, to J. Fred Boughman, who died on Nov. 26, 1980.
She worked in the kitchen at Jay County Hospital in the '50s and attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Boughman, rural Portland, and Max D. Boughman, Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Velma Jean) Sime, Mesa, Ariz., and Rheneta Larson, Auburn, Wash.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be sent to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice or Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in Portland.
