Thomas, W. Va. - Mrs. Anna Close, 88, former resident of Thomas, died Saturday, February 20 in City Hospital, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Mrs. Close was born November 9, 1876 in England and was the daughter of the late Moorehouse and Elizabeth (Wilson) Proud.
Her husband, David A. Close died in January 1940.
Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Bergstrom, Mrs. Pauline Schoonover, both of Cuyahoga Falls; two sons, Millard Close, of Thomas, W. Va.; David Close, of Newburg, N. Y.; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Duncan Funeral Home where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p. m. with Rev. Harry Atzenhoffer, Methodist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, near Thomas.
