Marion Duffey
Northampton – Marion (Graves) Duffey, 87, of Rockridge at Laurel Park, once a longtime employee of Smith College, and widow of John F. Duffey, died Friday in a local nursing home, where she lived several years. A lifelong resident of this city, and 1915 graduate of Smith College, she worked in the office of its Alumnae Assocation from 1918 to 1955, with the exception of six years in the late 1920s. She was a member of First Church of Christ Congregational, Betty Allen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and Cooley Dickinson Hospital Auxiliary. She leaves no near relatives. The funeral will be Monday in the church with burial in Bridge Street Cemetery. Charles R. Dutton funeral home is in charge. Donations may be made to Elmo F. Young Memorial Fund at Rockridge.
