The community was startled Tuesday morning by the announcement that Mother Cunningham had died She was performing her usual duties about the house in the forenoon and at one o'clock passed peacefully and painlessly away. She was conscious of the near approach of death and gave such instructions as she desired carried out at her burial. The sermon was preached at the house and her remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband in the Linden cemetery. She was 78 years of age and was held in high esteem by all who knew her She has led a devout Christian life tar many years and death had no pangs or terrors for her; all was hope and brightness for the future She leaves five sons and three daughters to mourn her loss all of whom have the sympathy of the entire community.
