Born March 12, 1889, in Michigantown, he was the son of Levi J. and Mary Roundtree Barnett. His marriage in 1916 was to Gladys Merkel.
A life resident of this community he was formerly employed at the Delphi Limestone in Delphi and was a member of the United Brethren church at Michigantown.
Surviving with the widow are two sons: John and Donald, both
of Delphi; three daughters, June Mikesell, Orpha Mae Heath, of Monticello, and Ruth Barnett, at home; a sister, Sarah Slick, of Indianapolis.
Rites were held Saturday from the Eikenberry funeral home with Rev. Gilbert Pegg officiating. Burial was in the Colburn cemetery.
