Charles Berlin DICKINSON was the first of twelve children born to Charles Wesley Thomas DICKINSON and Josephine W. MCMANUS, both of whom were from pioneer Texas families. Charles was the tenth of ten children born to Dr. Samuel Burling DICKINSON and his wife, Caroline Elizabeth KINNISON.

Samuel Burling DICKINSON was directly descended from four passengers who were aboard the Mayflower on her maiden voyage to America in Nov 1620 (John HOWLAND, Elizabeth TILLEY and Elizabeth's parents); thus Charles Berlin DICKINSON was descended from them, too.

SBD is a qualifying ancestor for membership in the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, the John Howland Society, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and Texas First Families.

C. B. DICKINSON DIES. Charles Berlin Dickinson, 35, of 252 Keller Street, died at a local hospital Saturday night. He was a native of Terryville, but had resided in San Antonio for three years.

His family includes his mother, Mrs. Josephine Dickinson; three brothers, Carl, Gould and Don Dickinson, all of San Antonio; seven sisters, Mrs. Lula Bell, Mrs. Myrtle Tibbets, Mrs. Ida Farris of Lubbock, Mrs. Minnie Parks and Mrs. Ruth Simpson of Corsicana and Mrs. W. [Dovie] Baird and Julia Dickinson of San Antonio.

The funeral will be held Tuesday.
