He was born in St. Francis, P.Q. Canada, Nov. 30,1889, the son of Edmond and Emma (Grenier) Cote, and was a resident of Claremont the past 70 years. He was a carpenter by trade and self-employed for many years. He married the former Marie C. Nadeau in Manchester April 27, 1914. They celebrated their 63 wedding anniversary this year. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church. The family includes his widow; two sons, Albert J. and Aime M. Cote, Claremont; five daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Stella D.) George and Mrs. Sylvester (Beatrice J.)Gannon, Clremont. Mrs. Robert (Rita)Wolfgram and Mrs. Harry (Theresa C.) Lepicier, Manchester, and Mrs. John (Blanche Y.) Hagar, Phoenix, AZ; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
