Alta Ansler, 96, died in the Crestview Convalescent Center in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Elliot and Nellie Catherine (Dart) Seed. She married Cassius M. Ansler on September 18, 1910 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1976.
Alta was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the DAR.
She was survived by a son, Charles Martin; a daughter, Loretha Hamke; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Funeral services for Alta Ansler were held on November 14, 1987 in the Gardner Funeral Home, Vincennes, Indiana followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery, Vincennes.
