Martha attended schools in rural Platte County and then attended Columbus High School. On February 4, 1929, Martha married Fred A. Ingold in Columbus. Martha worked for a dentist for a few years and then went to work at Rogers Jewelry and later for Brodkeys Jewelry for many years. She was a 50 year member of the Harmony Chapter of the Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron. Martha was also active in the PTA. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in many groups. Martha was a teacher for Sunday School, Bible Study, and also for Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed playing cards and was in many card groups. She also enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family.
