Section 30, Lots 5453-5455-5456.
Stones on this lot bear the surnames BLACKWOOD, MILLINGTON, TOOLE, and TRACY, all related. Three BENNETTs also rest here, but no stone bears that name.
[NOTE: Some individuals buried here are not memorialized by any currently visible or legible stone or inscription. A list of lot occupants, with burial dates, appears after the inscriptions.]
---At far left in this photograph, is the footstone of Emma Millington, upon which can barely be discerned the name "EMMA."
---Her principal monument is at far right, and is inscribed on its front panel:
Born September 27, 1850.
Died March 16, 1871.
---And on its left panel:
"In my hand no price I bring, Simply to thy cross I cling."
---Between them is a military marker recently placed by Green-Wood Cemetery as part of its Civil War Project. It is inscribed:
WILLIAM E BLACKWOOD
2D LIEUT CO H
52 NY NG
---Directly behind the Blackwood stone is a badly eroded stone upon which only the name Charles Millington can be discerned.
In the rear of the lot are 4 more stones, of which 2 are visible in this photograph.
---Behind "DOLLIE" and facing to the right is a stone inscribed:
Died Dec. 2nd 1853
Aged 82 years.
---The partially visible stone at the back of the lot is inscribed:
William Swan Toole,
Died August 9th 1878, aged 68 years.
---Invisible behind "DOLLIE" is a flat stone moved to Green-Wood on Nov 17 1860 along with those it memorializes:
Sacred to the Memory of
Wife of Thomas Toole
Who died Feb. 25, 1827
Aged 43 years & 4 months
Also their infant
Died March 10, 1827
Aged 8 months
Also Arabella Swan
Wife of William Tracy
Died Sep. 2, 1829
Aged 37 years
---One other stone lies fallen on its inscribed side at the rear of the lot and is not legible.
