World War II Draft Registration Card stated that John was born in Basque county, Texas.


John (b. Texas) and Eva (b. Missouri) appeared in the 1940 census with 1 child; Iris Raydene (b. Oklahoma).

Services for John Marvin Ray-bum, 59, Tinker field carpenter who died here Sunday morning in his home will be in the First Baptist church in Edmond at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, December 30. Interment will be in Gracelawn cemetery under the direction of the Shadle-Kessler funeral Home. A resident of Edmond since 1935 Rayburn was born in Clifton, Texas and moved to Oklahoma in 1904. He came to Edmond from Henryetta. He was a member of the Baptist church, the American Legion and 1007 of Henryetta. Survivors are his wife Eva of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Iris Harrold of Edmond, a brother Rayburn, Morganfield,Ky and three grandchildren.
