Agnes Allain COCAGNE, NB - Agnes Allain, 76, of Cocagne, NB, wife of the late Eric Allain (1958), passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in Botsford Portage, Cap-Pelé, NB on March 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Norman Brine and Mildred McGrath. Agnes was a housewife and attended Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB. She was a member of the Cocagne Golden Age Club and played bingo. Agnes is survived by a very special friend, Joseph LeBlanc of Bouctouche; daughters, Debbie Strickland (Allen) of Toronto, ON, Linda Melanson (Albert) of Cocagne, Cécile Landry (Roland) of La Plaine, QC, Cécilia Allain (John Milford) of Brockville, ON, Gladys Caissie of Waltham, Mass; sons, Gerry of Waltham, Mass, Emile (Murielle) of Cocagne, Yvon (Denise) of Bouctouche; sisters, Christina Bourque (Léonce) of Shediac, Marguerita Girouard of Moncton; brother-in-law, Norman Allain (Aurore) of Cocagne; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Rita, Daphna, Irene and Gladys. Resting at Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church slumber room, Cocagne with visitation on Friday, August 27 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Saturday, August 28 from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. Funeral service will be held from the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne, NB on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 10:00 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
