Irl was born November 08, 1918, in Berkeley, Illinois, to Arthur and Hattie Pickle Scott. He married his sweetheart, Doreen Partington, and they had 45 wonderful years prior to her passing in March, 1987. They had three children, Robert(Astrid) Largo, Fl., Clifford(Anna) Boulder, Co., and Eileen(Donald)Vacker Shorewood, Il., plus 8 grandchildren – Douglas(Karen) Scott, Marcus(Heidi) Scott, Rick(Mary) Scott, Kerstin(John) Campbell, Daniel(Julie) Scott, Davin(Jacllyn) Scott, Diane(Troy) Malik, and Kristine Scott, and 11 great grandchildren – Samantha, Erik(Emily), Alex, Autumn, William, Andrew, Tyler, Joseph, Rachel, Kevin and Nicholas. He is also had 4 sisters(deceased), Olive, Hazel, Virginia and Jewel. The Scotts lived in Lombard, Il. for 34 years before moving to Largo, Fl. In 1990. Irl worked as a Buyer for International Harvester(Navistar), and retired with 22 years service. He also worked for the Pinkerton Agency weekends as a Security Guard for more than 20 years.
His Hobbies were building Chime Clocks, and building/flying Radio Controlled Airplanes. He loved to travel and visit family. He para-sailed at age 80, gliding over the Rocky Mountains,and at age 85 flew over Orlando in a Bi-plane!
Irl will be greatly missed by family and friends.
His funeral will be in Lombard, Il. at Brust Funeral Home, on July 05, 2012, with private interment at Chapel Hill Gardens, Oak Brook Terrace, Il.
