Alice Janiece Sudweeks Cooper, native of Nephi, Utah, passed away in her 78th year of life, Sunday, January 21, 2007. She was born February 7, 1929, the oldest of four children to Nello R. and Alice Beard Sudweeks.

She attended Snow College and graduated from Brigham Young University. She served in the Central States mission for the LDS church.

She married Cherril Dean Cooper in the Salt Lake Temple March 12, 1953. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker.

She and Cherril were true genealogists and spent their lives performing the work and published several volumes of their family history. She served tirelessly in many callings, including Relief Society President and an Extraction Missionary. She and Cherril also served two LDS missions; one in Osaka, Japan and the other in the Tokyo, Japan Temple.

She and Cherril were the parents of three sons and two daughters. She is survived by her son, Cherril Dee (Veronica) Cooper, Springville, Cynthia (Carl) Hurst, Dayton S. (Cindi) Cooper, Layton, Marcus Dean (Piper) Cooper, Kaysville; brother, Melvin Sudweeks and sister, Ardith Hannah, 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Our beloved mother has returned to her Father in Heaven where she was reunited with her sweetheart, Cherril, her oldest daughter, Janalee, her parents, and her sister.

Funeral services Wed., January 24th, 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake 14th ward, 142 W. 200 N., Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple Street Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Wednesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Rd. at 1:30 p.m.
