Joe J. Vaculik, age 90 years, passed away at Colorado-Fayette Medical Center in Weimar on April 13, 1999. Joe was born at Praha on August 29, 1908, the son of Joe and Eva (Fiedler) Vaculik. On October 14, 1930 he married Augustine Hanzelka at the Praha Catholic Church. A lifelong resident of Fayette County, he was a carpenter and farmer. Joe was a member of the Praha Catholic Church and St. Isidore Society.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years; two daughters, Margaret Konvicka of Hallettsville and Rosalie Janak of Victoria; a sister, Mary Fojtik of Sugar Land; a brother, Adolph Vaculik of Praha; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Julie Vaculik; and six brothers, Bennie,Jerry, Henry, Willie, Julius and Frank Vaculik.
