Mrs. Oscar Almquist, a resident of Moline fifty years, died at 9 this morning in her residence at 1624 Nineteenth avenue, where she had made her home for the last thirty-five years. Mrs. Almquist, who was 73 years old, had been ill of a complication of diseases for a number of years.

Emma Carlson was born in Sweden on March 8, 1863. She came to the United States, directly to Moline, in 1886, and was married to Oscar Almquist in Moline on May 24, 1901. Mrs. Almquist was a member of Salem Lutheran church, the North Star Benefit association and the Fidelity Life association.

Surviving are the widower; a daughter, Miss Helen Almquist at home; four sons, Frank and Paul Almquist at home, and Clarence and Edward Almquist of Moline; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. August Rydback of Monrovia, Cal., and a sister in Sweden.

The body was removed to Esterdahl mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
